First Results of the Survey on Linux Compute Cluster (LCC) in the German Industry

As first result we want to show you the number of CPUs in Linux Clusters operated by different companies Total # of Processors in Linux Compute Clusters 
operated by different Companies in the German Industry in the German industry. The market where each company is operating as well as the total number of CPUs which is operated inside the company is shown.

Of a total of about 65 companies the company utilizing the highest number of processors in LCC is running around 1250 CPUs with Linux in different clusters. The next company in the German market is operating in the LifeScience market and runs about 786 CPUs in LCC. The total of CPUs utilized in LCC in the German industry amounts to about 5600 CPUs where the biggest part is used in the automotive industry with a total of about 3250 CPUs.
